The Pondora Ecosystem

Pondora is designed as a modular ecosystem. The Smart Account is the foundation, and everything else plugs into it.

Layers are purpose-built Layer 2 networks designed to solve for goals such as UX and decentralization while accepting minimal trade-offs. By keeping these modular and separate from the Smart Account, concerns are cleanly divided and each layer can be reused across the broader ecosystem.

Pond Modules are individual DeFi features. Each module defines a specific type of financial operation and enforces its rules on-chain. New modules can be added over time without changing the Smart Account itself.

Layer 2 Networks

Each layer is built using Cardano smart contracts and inherits the security properties of the L1. Because the UTXO model is deterministic, modular layers can be combined into feature-rich applications — separate systems can be stitched together securely.

Echo

A decentralized consensus layer. A network of participants collectively agrees on the validity of off-chain actions before they are committed to Cardano. No single party can approve a state change alone — a quorum of the network must agree. Read more →

Sailfish

An execution layer for high-throughput trading. Orders are matched off-chain for speed, and balance changes are settled back on-chain in batches verified by the Echo consensus network. If the network ever goes offline, users can withdraw their funds directly — no cooperation required. Read more →

DORA

The Decentralized Order Routing Aggregator. DORA ensures orders are routed fairly across different systems, using Echo as its consensus backend. It operates on a fair routing model so that no single sequencer can manipulate ordering.

Pond Modules

Pond Modules are the DeFi protocols that users interact with day to day. Each module plugs into the Smart Account and defines a specific financial operation. New modules can be added to the ecosystem over time, and you choose which ones to use — your Smart Account only interacts with modules you opt into, according to the specific rules you set.
